    Ancient Mayan city, home to the Temple of Kukulkan (El Castillo), the Great Ball Court (largest in Mesoamerica with incredible acoustics), and the Sacred Cenote (site of offerings and possibly human sacrifices). Visit early to avoid crowds and heat. Allow 2-3 hours for exploration. Bring a hat, sun cream, insect repellent, and water. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Entrance fee is approx. 571 MXN, plus a state fee of approx. 100 MXN for tourists. Additional fees may apply for professional cameras. Located in the Yucatan Peninsula, 2.5 hours from Cancun/Playa del Carmen, 40 mins from Valladolid. Parking costs approx. 100 MXN.
