Reachable from Shinjuku in around 2 hours via express train and bus, this is a great beginner-friendly hike through a lush gorge with stunning fall colors on both sides. At the end, there is a cable car that takes you up to a mountain with sweeping views out on the Kofu basin and Mt. Fuji on a clear day.
