A masterpiece of engineering, this 8.3 km road connects Averøya Island with the mainland via eight bridges, including the iconic Storseisundet Bridge. It's free to drive and great for fishing due to strong tidal currents. Best visited in summer for calmer weather, or winter for experienced drivers. It's a must-see if nearby, but not recommended for a 4-hour detour.
