Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai, Thailand

Smaller, quieter and way more artsy. The White Temple is unlike anything I've ever seen and the Blue Temple hits just as hard. Need to go outside the city to visit nice mountain villages, sunrise viewpoints and rice terraces.

  18. Koh Kood

    attraction

A proper hidden gem. Barely any tourists, just locals living their best life. Food options are limited so eat local or at your hotel — the beaches are pristine, white sand and the clearest water I've seen in Thailand.
