The statue, Apoximenos, also known as the Scraper, was discovered in the basement of the building in eighteen forty nine. After the fall of the Roman Empire, this building has been used as a Jewish synagogue, a warehouse, an apartment, and now a restaurant. They prepared an ancient Roman recipe of slow cooked pork and a rich cumin sauce.
